Almost Halloween

Fall is here and it's time for Hudson's first Halloween!

Hudson went to the pumpkin patch...

and we picked out 2 beautiful pumpkins!

He wore a sweater because it was chilly!

He is almost sitting up by himself...

but much happier when daddy holds him.

Happy Halloween! We will be in Georgia Halloween
weekend...we can't wait to see the Smith Grandparents!

Weekend at the Smith grandparents

Over the river and through the woods,
to grandmother's house we go....

Hudson is smiling on the inside....

Joann put up a new swing
for Hudson and Lilly,

and Lewis showed Hudson their beautiful yard.

Brian and Jason got to have some
brotherly bonding at the UGA/TN
game...Go Dawgs!

Hudson also got to visit with his
sweet cousin Lilly for a little while.
We miss our cousin time!

We always value the time we spend with our relatives in Georgia. We just don't get to see everyone enough. We also went to church with JoAnn and Lewis, and Hudson got to spend time in the nursery. JoAnn made us a wonderful lunch and then we were off to Birmingham. We will be back at Thanksgiving for Lilly's 1st birthday!

oh, and

Hudson

is getting

his 2

bottom

teeth...

we can

see them!!

October's here

October is here and we are ready for lots of Halloween candy...Hudson is going to be a sock monkey!

Hudson has started using his new high chair to eat bananas, applesauce and lots of rice cereal! He smiles all the time, except when it is time to take a picture. He has what we call a "quick smile"...it just doesn't last long enough for most pictures.

Hudson's first practice at walking! We had lots of fun but are starting to think we need carpet somewhere in the house so he can land safely when he falls.

thanks for my pirates shirt aunt beth!

maybe it's not really that cold, but he had to try on his new jacket!

This is my first attempt at blogging, so it probably won't be too fancy.

Our little Hudson will be 5 months this week and Brian turned 30 last weekend. It has been the most exciting and beautiful time of our lives. We are just starting to getting back to doing things sans baby. Brian went to the UGA game last weekend and I went to the beach with some friends. Grandmary,Grandcharley, and Aunt Cat keep Hudson twice a week, while I do speech therapy with a few children. I also use this time to run errands and do some shopping. Hudson misses his Aunt Jenny and Uncle Ryan and of course his Aunt Annie, Unlce Jason, JoJo, Lewis and cousin Lilly. Hudson weighs about 17lbs, rolls all over the crib, giggles, babbles, gets very angry when he is hungry, and loves his new swing that Brian hung for him. He loves to take out his pacifier and holds his own bottle!

Brian is always busy with work, football, yard work, playing guitar, and being the best daddy around. We have also started the South Beach Diet (thanks to JoJo and Lewis) and we have each lost a little weight. The diet was hard the first 2 weeks but we are sort of used to it now.

We are excited about Lilly's first birthday at Thanksgiving and we will get to spend time with our GA family then.
